Kodak Black is a South Florida Rapper.

In February of 2024, a Federal Judge freed Kodak Black from jail after he was given credit for time served on a probation violation.

Black is still being prosecuted for a 2022 drug dealing charge.

The drug possession charge was dismissed because Black aka Bill Kapri had a prescription for oxycodone that had been filled by a pharmacy.

Kapri had been found asleep in his vehicle in December of 2023 with a white powder in his mouth.

The initial police testing of the powder rendered a positive for cocaine.

Subsequent testing showed it was oxycodone which he had a prescription for since July of 2022.

This arrest was seen as a probation violation for his unrelated drug trafficking charge in Miami.

Kapri ended up spending two months in jail due to this mix-up by police.

Kapri had a three year federal drug sentence terminated after outgoing President Trump pardoned him in January of 2021.
